Ken Swindle received the Distinguished Service Award from the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce for the service he provided to them during his entire career in law enforcement.  Ken Swindle worked in law enforcement for 34 years and served as the Tuscaloosa Police Chief for 20 years before coming to work as an investigator with Prince Glover Law.



Birmingham, Alabama — Sirote & Permutt Shareholder Daniel J. Burnick has launched the Alabama Employment Law Report , a blog discussing current issues in employment and labor law, with a particular emphasis on the state of Alabama. Mr. Burnick's blog is the first such online resource being offered in Alabama. Mr. Burnick is resident in Sirote's Birmingham office and is the former chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice. Initial blog entries have covered such topics as behavior at holiday office parties, military leave and the Family Medical Leave Act, sexual misconduct, and recent changes in the Americans with Disabilities Act.

William R. Pringle became a partner in the firm in December 2008. Sirote & Permutt PC recently expanded its mortgage banking litigation practice to assist financial services and mortgage banking companies with legal challenges surrounding the subprime mortgage banking crisis.

The Birmingham-based firm repositioned 16 lawyers into the team with industry-focused knowledge. The team will be led by Sirote Shareholder C. Lee Reeves, according to the press release.
